Name of the Program: TAILORING TRAINING PROGRAMME FOR POOR WOMEN
Supported by: Sitaram Jindal Foundation, Bangalore.
Implementation:
A Vocational Training programme on Tailoring & Embroidery skill is conducted to 30 poor women in Chennur village. The manual handling sewing machines are provided to them along with the tools, implements and raw material. An experienced sewing instructress was appointed to impart the skill development training to them. These women are now able to do stiching of garments and earning good income for their sustainable livelihood.
