Implementation:

GHEC implemented “Literacy and Health Education Programme” in 5 villages of Chitvel Block of Cuddapah District during the year 2001, with the grant-in-aid received from “Opera di Promozione dell’ Alfabetizzazione Nel Mondo, Roma, Italy”.

Judging the rampant illiteracy prevalent in the target area we have conducted the literacy programme  in 5 villages during this period  Social Animators taught the primary education to the adult men and women.

 GHEC has also conducted health education in said 5 villages.  We have imparted awareness about Self health care system, Family Health care system, Neighbourhood health care system and Societies’ health care system.  We stressed on the value of Nutrition food and the nourishment of children.
